Last week we saw 6 Muslim Imams removed from a airplane because they were "praying" loudly on the plane or in the airport, the details are foggy at best. I have heard a few different reports, but the initial report was the poor Imams were just praying quietly and not bothering anyone when the airline grabbed them and threw them off the plane. Of course as the day went on we hear that they were being a nuisance in the lobby of the airport and then were praying very loudly on the plane itself. Regardless and rightly so I believe some of the passengers and crew members were uncomfortable and decided to get them off. The plane ended up being grounded for 5-6 hours.
Since I am not particularly politically correct, I am very happy of the decision to have them removed. Christians constantly have to worry about "offending" people in our current culture yet we are suppose to feel sorry for a few Imams who I believe were trying to stir up trouble for political reasons. Some Imams requested this week that airports have a special room for their prayers. Excuse me? We can't show Nativity advertisement at a Christmas festival yet it's perfectly ok for airports to set aside a special place for Imams to pray in public? We can't pray in public schools yet a privately funded company is being pressured to supply room for Muslim prayer?
I believe in peace and all that good stuff, but I am sorry, I have little patience for Muslims in general. I know the dinosaur media keeps pounding away that the majority of Muslims are peaceful yet every time I turn on the TV I see Muslims protesting, rioting, and burning flags. We saw a huge protest last week because of the Papal visit. Where are all the riots and protesting when their own people cut the heads off innocent people? Where are all the protests when their own people blow up innocent women and children? Where are all the protest when their leaders call for the annihilation of Israel? There can only be 2 possible answers for these questions and many more, they either agree with the actions of their fellow extremist, or they are afraid to stand up against their own brothers. Both of which are disgraceful and unacceptable.
The other question that comes to mind is why can't Allah hear silent prayers behind closed doors? We saw how the seduces and pharisees liked to pray in the town square for all to see, just so everyone knew how spiritual they were. Jesus told us not to pray like that, because they have already received their reward by everyone seeing them. Makes me wonder how much of its posturing and how much of its legit with the Imams. I have no problem with people being bold when its appropriate, but I don't see how praying personal prayer's loudly for all those around you to hear is really useful, other than maybe to puff up your own ego and self pride by showing the world how connected you are with Allah. That's what makes this country great, it was actually tolerated for a long time before steps were taken to have them removed. I wonder what would happen if I went into Iran with a big wooden cross and started to pray to Jesus in one of their airports? I wonder how many Imams would stand up for me and my right to pray to Christ???
They keep telling us how Islam is a peaceful religion but I sure haven't seen any proof of it. All the major problems of this world right now stem from the Muslim community. Other than that kook in N. Korea all other major conflicts are with the Muslims. I don't see the Chinese or the Japanese strapping bombs to themselves and blowing up innocent people. Until the so called "peaceful" Muslims start standing up against their extremist brothers and speaking out and protesting against their actions I will view all Muslims as hostile. I realize that is not exactly a popular view, or definitely not politically correct view but that's ok, I can live with myself. I got a feeling there are many many more people that feel just like me than those who don't regardless what the print/network media tries to insist. I am still in total disbelief that Minnesota elected a Muslim to office who advocated the immediate withdrawal from Iraq. What a great way to bring down a country from within. America needs to wake up.
