'Without the higher powers of the imagination and reason, no eminent success can be gained in many subjects. These latter faculties, as well as the former, will have been developed in man, partly through sexual selection, that is, through the contest of rival males, and partly through natural selection, from success in the general struggle for life; and as in both cases the struggle will have been transmitted more fully to the male than to the female offspring. It accords in a striking manner with this view of the modification and re-enforcement of many of our mental faculties by sexual selection, that, firstly, they notoriously undergo a considerable change at puberty, and, secondly, that eunuchs remain throughout life inferior in these same qualities. Thus man has ultimately become superior to woman. Ever wonder about the man behind the evolution theory. I wonder if he was racist, or maybe put all human beings as equal like the Bible does? In the Bible we learn that Jesus came to save everyone in the world: black, white, male, female, everyone. In Gods eyes everyone is important and everyone is worthy of salvation, how many times did we see Jesus show compassion to society's 'rejects'? The woman at the well who had been with many men, the prostitute that the people wanted to stone, even some of Jesus's own disciples were of the worst kind, tax collectors, considered to be the worst of the worst, people couldn't understand why Jesus would want to sit and eat with these type of people. The one thing you will learn if you read the New Testament is that Jesus came to offer salvation not to the righteous, but to the sinners. In a ironic twist we see that the so called 'righteous' people ultimately instigated the crucifixion. You may wonder what this has to do with Darwin? Well just like Darwin, Hitler also believed in evolution science and its faulty logic with his idea of the super race that resulted in nearly 15 million Jews being slaughtered. Or Karl Marx and avid evolutionist who formulated the philosophy of dialectical materialism based on evolution. Carl Vogt a natural history professor at the University of Geneva, believed that the child, female, and the senile white, all had the intellect and nature of a adult Negro. Vogt was contemporary of Darwin. In stark contrast the Bible shows us everyone is created equal and everyone is important, but the theories of Darwin and his contemporaries show us that only the white male is important and everyone else are just maybe a little higher than a animal. Read on to find out what Darwin wrote, and next time you go cruising down the road and see a female with a Darwin sticker on her car, maybe you can let her know that Darwin thought she was no more useful than maybe a dog. And if you get the chance to talk to her maybe you can let her know what Jesus thought of her.
Darwin listed his ideas on the advantages of marrying a woman: 'constant companion, friend in old age who will feel interested in one, object to be loved and played with-better than a dog anyhow-Home, and someone to take care of house'(Darwin, 1958:232,233) Darwin reasoned that a married man would be a 'poor slave.. worse than a Negro'(1958:234) Keep in mind that Darwin himself married his own cousin Emma Wedgewood(I guess SHE wasn't a feminist).
Some of the traits of women are 'characterisitc of the lowers races, and therefore of a past and lower state of civilization(1896:563,654) '.. a higher eminence, in whatever he takes up, than can women- whether requiring deep thought, reason, or imagination, or merely the use of the senses and hands. If two lists were made of the most eminent men and women in poetry, painting, sculpture, music(inclusive of both composition and performance), history, science, and philosophy, with half a dozen names under each subject, the two lists would not bear comparison. We may also infer, from the law of the deviation from averages, so well illustrated by Mr. Galton, in his work on 'Hereditary Genius' that..the average of mental power in man must be above that of women (Darwin, 1896:564).
I dont thinks its a secret that I dont believe in evolution, that we came from a fish or a ape, modern day science has already disproved many of the aspects, in fact there is a growing body of scientific evidence supporting the Biblical view of creation. I only created this page not to disprove evolution through his views on women and 'lower races', but to illustrate the type of man he was. It saddens me to think we are teaching our children in public schools his theories but leaving out his other views, I wonder how many schools teach the other side of him, that women are inferior, and people other than white males are of the 'lower races'. Yes I agree its up to the parents to impose the moral foundation of our children ourselves, and if we believe in creation then we should teach them, but why teach a student something that has major scientific flaws that just doesn't hold up anymore? 'Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive the glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.' Rev 4:11.
